My gym is fairly basic in its equipment selection, and I don't have access to a fan bike, a Ski ERG, or a rower. They do provide elliptical machines, treadmills, and exercise bikes. I am currently dealing with stiffness and weakness from a high ankle sprain 3 months ago. I got the ok to hit the gym from my doctor but I don't want to just begin with sprints or running on the treadmill...is the elliptical a good piece of equipment to use for cardio training? Or is there a better option for someone in my situation?
